“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

-Anne Frank

Why do we always think that we must have our “ducks in a row” before we can change the world? And what does it mean to change the world?

We all have our ideals. We all have a way in which we envision changing the world. Don’t you? You must. If you don’t, start thinking about it. Write it in your journal or sketch about it in your sketch book. What would it mean for YOU to change the world? How do you want to change it? With Art? Religion? Ecology & Earth Consciousness? Politics? As we all come from different places and lands, we can realize we all have the chance to change the world: one small action at a time.

I’m a big fan of the TV show, “Charmed”. I will admit it. I know it’s corny, but I love the idea of being able to zap things, and just blink to go places. If you ever watched that show, you’ll know that they traveled in time quite a bit. When they did, they had to be concious of not changing anything, or else the one small action would lead to a mountain of changes that would completely change their history. It’s true.

Small actions bring large change.

One thing leads to another. One small action, like me taking out time to watch a small indie brooklyn band perform in a cool cafe in New Jersey, lead to me meeting my true love, my soul mate and having a family. What would have happened if I didn’t follow Ken(the waiter)’s advice on staying to watching them perform?

So you can change the world. Do what comes naturally to you, and do it well. Do what you feel is your calling, and the path will come to you, and will be illuminated like a lamp to your feet.

You CAN change the world. Create change, by following your calling, following your passion, in a healthy positive way.
