Day 122: Make a Snapple Bottle Magnet
“On a daily basis, you must take more care of your mind than just money, money, money!”
Why do we do this? We seem to be so careful with our money. We make sure we contribute to a 401K, try to save our money. We try to live a frugal life. We try to be careful with our money.
But we also must take care of our mind. Taking care of your mind doesn’t mean you must live like a monk, for me, it just means that you have to be a bit careful. Be more careful of the things you say, the things you think, and what you think of.
The buddha says in his texts that, “All that you are is a result of all that you think”. So that’s why we must care for our mind, so that we don’t have to be so “careful” with our money, wondering when our next check will come, or how we will pay for our bills.
Today’s craft endeavor is pretty easy peasy.
You’ll need a snapple bottle cap, clear epoxy, pretty papers and things, and a magnet back.
All you do, is trace and cut a circle for the inside of your snapple bottle.
Fill your cap with interesting things. It’s going to be like a little mini collage. Make it your own.
Then, mix the epoxy in a yogurt container (only because it’s disposable and that’s what I had), then fill the cap with the epoxy.
That’s it! You have to put it in a warm place, so that it will try and harden. I put mine next to the heater, since I live in a cold climate.
Then, just glue the magnet back. That’s it! You are done.
I should confess that this one was done last night, since it takes a bit of time for the epoxy to dry. Sorry.
